Meeting Electronic Record Retention Requirements

M+Archive Solves the Archiving Needs of One of the World's Largest Recruitment Companies

John Nurthen, Director of Corporate Affairs and eBusiness at Vedior Holding, explains: "We identified the need for a suitable product for our archiving needs given recent legal judgments and regulatory requirements. Our first step was to create a formal Document Retention Policy for the Group and then to look for a solution that would comply with our Policy needs. We looked at approximately 20 solutions but discovered that the market is not well supplied with GroupWise-specific email archiving applications that met our specifications. Our partner, EMC, suggested that we contact Messaging Architects and strongly recommended M+Archive. Upon further investigation, we found that it was the one product that could best comply with our needs and wishes."

Following a proof of concept trial, the product was purchased and installed with minimum issues. One of Messaging Architects’ Business Partners, IctIvity, assisted with the implementation and installation of M+Archive. M+Archive was installed for 1200 users in The Netherlands and, later this year, will be implemented for 800 users in Belgium. 

Nurthen continues: "M+Archive is an essential part of our Records Retention policy. The installation was undertaken by our own IT staff, Messaging Architects' business partner, IctIvity, and the Messaging Architects system engineers in only three days. The M+Archive installation in the Dutch office is based on its tight integration with NetApp Storage Systems. The NetApp Storage System is licensed with a Snaplock module to completely secure the archived data from removal or tampering until the required retention period is reached. Installing the NetApp Storage System in combination with M+Archive guarantees a solid retention environment that meets current regulatory requirements. More importantly, we are guaranteed for the future, too."

In conclusion Nurthen notes: "So far, we are very happy that we chose this product!"
