New United Kingdom FSA Policy Statement Announces Intention to Require Email Archiving
United Kingdom - March 2008 - Messaging Architects recently took part in a consultation exercise by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) of the United Kingdom, which was considering the implications of the introduction of a requirement for FSA regulated firms to commence email archiving (and other communication recording).
As a result of this consultation exercise the FSA has issued a Policy Statement, which intends that from March 2009, firms will have to record all telephone conversations and electronic communications relating to client orders and the conclusion of transactions in the equity, bond, and derivatives markets.
From their involvement in this area in highly regulated territories such as the USA Messaging Architects, and their business partners, are in a strong position to assist organisations affected by this legislation in designing and implementing email archiving systems based around their M+Archive solution. Our experience and technologies can assist organisations in getting systems in place quickly and effectively to cover their regulatory obligations.
