    Forty-five percent of companies consult an external vendor on a yearly basis to ensure their data-leak prevention solutions and standards are adequate, according to the results of a survey conducted by Amplitude Research. The figure represents a 10 percent rise from 2009 when 35 percent of respondents reported conducting annual checks.
