Talk about teamwork!
Much of my time continues to be focused on recruiting efforts, and the search is paying off. New team members are joining our organization in the next few days. And I have to say that I am really pleased how efficiently and quickly my team internally has reacted to get them all ready and set to go right from day 1 at MA.
You probably noticed that I am repeating the word "team" a lot, right? That's not by chance. Team is the theme of today's post, pun intended. Team means a lot at our company and I want to convey this to you.
Speaking of teamwork, I'd like to share how our organization has brought our stellar client service to a new level with the introduction of our internal cross-functional teams. Here is what we did. We put together cross-functional teams that comprise eight members, each representing different facets within our organization. Every team is specially dedicated to a client.
It's all part of a new Elite Client Status Program we launched in the summer. As we strengthen our cross-functional teams, we are able to share ideas and gather information much faster, which in turn ensures we improve business processes and the benefits we offer.
Here's an example. During our last quarterly meeting, our cross-functional teams met and three issues that surfaced were remedied within 24 hours. This was possible because each team had teammates who had the knowledge and power to make the necessary changes. The results were two-fold. First and foremost, we were able to provide better client service. Secondly – something that's very important to me as a champion of the MA teams – there was conviction among the team players that working and collaborating together as a team does make us as a more effective organization.
