Much of what is transmitted through an email system constitutes records whose retention for a specific period of time is required by statutes or industry-specific regulations. A messaging archiving system that can index, store, and purge these records based on corporate policies is an important component of an overall messaging management strategy, particularly in government and heavily regulated industries, such as financial services and healthcare. About the presenters and host

	Michael D. Osterman has more than 20 years experience in the market research industry and extensive knowledge in the design and deployment of market research programs and analyzing research results. He has developed sophisticated cost modeling methodologies in use by a wide variety of companies in the messaging industry. Michael has written numerous articles for a variety of trade publications, including the online column on messaging issues published by Network World Fusion. 	Greg Smith, MCNE and MCNI, has been working in the high-technology field for more than 15 years, predominantly with Novell Platinum integrators and resellers. In his current position as Director of Professional Services at Messaging Architects, he brings his networking and messaging expertise to a company that specializes in GroupWise enhancements and product development. Greg has been active in the area of public speaking, giving technical presentations at GroupWise Advisor Summits, as well as at Novell BrainShare.

	Susan Salgy - Susan is a partner at WebWise Solutions, the company that produces Novell Cool Solutions. She was one of the founding fathers (uh, mothers) of Cool Solutions in 1996, and has steered its development from a GroupWise enduser web magazine to a thriving web community beloved by Novell customers worldwide.
