GWGuardian Provides INPES Employees with a Spam-Free Work Environment Background

Challenge
INPES was looking for a new anti-spam solution because they were dissatisfied with the filtering capabilities of the product they had and found it hard to maintain. In addition, with no user accessible interface, employees spent a lot of time filtering through spam while the IT department received numerous complaints and were constantly required to tweak the spam settings.
Solution
In order to find a new anti-spam solution that would address their concerns and improve end user productivity, INPES turned to Altea, the leading French reseller of Novell products. Altea deployed GWGuardian and provided them with an evaluation license, and let the internal IT staff play around with the product.
“It didn’t take the people at INPES long to see the benefits of GWGuardian and realize it was the best solution on the market to meet their needs and help them overcome their security challenges of their messaging system,” explains Stephane Bullou, Engineer at Altea.
INPES found GWGuardian was cost effective and integrated easily into their current infrastructure, while requiring very little time to install and literally no need for management as all the anti-spam and anti-virus engines are updated automatically. Besides, it has a user-friendly interface that allows users to manage their own spam quarantines and a catch rate of over 98%. Within a month of its installation, GWGuardian had blocked over 80,000 unwanted emails and internet-borne threats.
On the whole, the deployment of GWGuardian has significantly improved the work environment for everyone and INPES. Pascal Guinet, IT administrator, concludes: “Since the installation of GWGuardian, our employees are happier because they don’t receive spam any more. Management is happy because overall productivity has increased in all departments. On the IT side, we are very satisfied because we don’t spend our days fighting spam and listening to complaints, not to mention that GWGuardian requires no daily administration.”
