Bainbridge School District: Keeping Students & Parents Up-to-Date with M+Extranet

"M+Extranet provided us with an easy, out-of-the box solution for our calendaring needs. Prior to  introducing M+Extranet into our system, we used to create and publish static html pages with information and events. However, more and more we felt the need to enable our 500+ GroupWise users to publish their calendars in real time.

Installing M+Extranet has given more people the incentive to fully utilize their GroupWise calendars. In fact, many of our staff members now post their assignments online using their GroupWise calendars. This way, teachers make the assignments and the respective deadlines available to students 24/7 and at the same time they keep parents more up-to-date with their children's activities.

In addition, we have greater integration between school calendars and the ability to display multiple calendars based on users' selected criteria. The templates that came prepackaged with M+Extranet were sufficient to meet our needs for various views of the  calendars. All we had to do in terms of customization was to adapt the color scheme and graphics to match our website and to create a few buttons. Everything else was already available.

M+Extranet has really demonstrated its timeliness and  its use for our academic community, and we know that it's being used - as soon as there is some internet-related  problem that prevents M+Extranet  from displaying, we immediately get notified by concerned parents who can't see  the calendar online.
